Janet’s Just forgiven me
STAR SAYS NIPPLE FLASH ROW SORTED
JUSTIN Timberlake has cleared the air with Janet Jackson, 14 years after “Nipplegate”.
Back in 2004, Justin “accidentally” exposed Janet’s breast during her Super Bowl gig – an act that damaged her career.
Now ahead of his Super Bowl LII gig in February, Justin promised the incident won’t be repeated.
Speaking to Beats 1, JT revealed: “Naturally, that’s something we talked about. It’s just one of those things. I stumbled through it, to be quite honest.
“I had my wires crossed and it’s just something that you have to look back on and go: ‘OK, you can’t change what’s happened but you can move forward and learn from it’.”
Asked if he and Janet had “made peace”, JT replied: “Absolutely. Because you value the relationships that you have with people.”
Justin returns with Man Of The Woods on February 2 – his first LP recorded with friend Pharrell Williams since 2002’s Justified.
The reason was legal troubles between Pharrell and JT’s label Jive. He explained: “If I’m being totally honest about it I was extremely hurt being caught up in the middle of it.
“At the same time I had already gone through legal troubles and felt like I’m at this point where I have so much ahead of me, I don’t want to be in the middle of the record label and somebody I consider a friend. So I kind of removed myself from the situation.”
