PC-crazy snowflakes are boycotting the new Peter Rabbit film over a “food bullying” scene.

In the movie, bunnies pelt a man with blackberries, knowing he is allergic to them.

Allergy sufferers blasted the scene and called for a boycott.

Thousands have signed a petition on social media demanding producers Sony Pictures apologise, claiming the film “mocks the seriousness of allergic disease”.

Supporters argue the scene is “heartbreakingly disrespectful” to families who have lost loved ones to anaphylaxis, a serious allergic reaction causing death.

The controversial segment shows the much-loved Beatrix Potter character and his friends attack Tom McGregor, nephew of his arch-enemy Mr McGregor, with the fruit.

Tom becomes seriously ill and has to stab himself in the leg with an EpiPen injection. Furious parents took to Twitter to condemn the CGI film, in which Peter Rabbit is voiced by telly host James Corden.

Dad Tom Murray tweeted: “Sickened that @SonyPictures thought promoting food allergy bullying by Peter and friends would be okay.”

And mum Allison Wells posted: “@SonyPictures What a disgrace – teaching children it’s okay to bully and harass others with food allergies.

“You obviously have no staff with children who could DIE from food allergies. #attempted murder #foodallergies #boycott peterrabbit.”

The Kids with Food Allergies Foundation posted a Facebook warning about the film.
