REFLEKTOR CAN SHINE IN SPRINT

-

REFLEKTOR is tipped to continue owner David Lowe’s winning run at Lingfield this year.

He has had three winners from three runners at the Surrey track. Richard Kingscote has won twice on Kachy while Martin Harley won on Reflektor.

The two five-year-olds are both sprinters and it is REFLEKTOR (3.30) who is out again today.

He defied a wide draw when winning a month ago but jumps from trap one in the feature race.

Lowe is passionate about his racing, and loves his visits to his trainer Tom Dascombe’s gallops. After Kachy’s latest win, headlined here, he tweeted: “Better get the @Marriott hotel booked @LingfieldPark for @awchamps finals day! This could be a Good Friday to remember!”

Reckless Endeavour has gone close four times off his current rating of 97. There is no reason to suppose he will not be in the frame again.

SIR JAMIE (12.40) should be another to benefit from being drawn next to the inside rail. His trainer Tony Carroll said after his recent win over today’s course and distance: “He has always had the ability and the blinkers have helped him concentrate. He got a good ride from Luke (Morris).”

William Carson, who has had three winners in the last 12 days, takes over. With the blinkers retained there is every chance Sir Jamie will be in the winner’s enclosure again.

LORD MURPHY (1.10) could spring a surprise if he gets the breaks in his race. Liam Keniry is back on top after his strong-finishing third for Andrew Mullen at Wolverhampton.

Lingfield punters are invariably keen on William Haggas runners, however slow they are. It is not a term I would use for Completion in the following race but it does mean MEWTOW (1.45) is likely to start at longer odds than his form merits.

There was a lot to like about the way he put the race to bed on his last visit to Lingfield. His trainer George Scott said that his colt should improve with that run under his belt. BROTHER TIGER (2.20) should make the best of his way home in his sprint, given his draw on the rail.

The other fivefurlong specialist, Zipedeedodah, is drawn next to him. As long as they do not take each other on in the early stages, the pair could well be the first two home.

David Evans uses Adam Kirby when he fancies one, so MOUCHEE (4.40) could be the answer to the last.

He was an eyecatcher on his first 12-furlong start last time. Only one of his rivals has also raced over the trip, Genuinely Crowded.
