Mown down at 71mph

A DRINK-driver has admitted mowing down and killing three teenage boys.

Jaynesh Chudasama, 28, was more than twice the legal alcohol limit and speeding at 71mph when he ploughed into the school friends.

The boys, who were on their way to a party, died instantly.

Chudasama, who also had traces of cannabis in his system, yesterday pleaded guilty to three counts of causing death by dangerous driving.

A court heard the car hire worker had swung his Audi out to overtake another car when he lost control and hit the boys head-on.

Semi-professional footballer Harry Rice, 17, apprentice electrician George Wilkinson, 16, and labourer Josh McGuinness, also 16, were flung into the air as the Audi spun out of control in Hayes, west London.

When the car came to a halt, Chudasama and his passenger fled.

But the boys’ friends, who had been walking with them to the party at a five-a-side football venue, chased the pair, dragging them back to where the victims lay dead.

One of them later admitted he had ® hit the driver over the head with a bottle to stop him getting away, the Old Bailey was told.

Meanwhile, a girl held George’s hand as he lay half in the road and half on the pavement with horrific head and neck injuries.

He had died instantly, along with Josh, who was struck with such force that he was thrown over a fence and into a cemetery.

Harry was carried on the bonnet of the car until it crashed into the cemetery wall and crushed his body, the court heard.

When police arrived at the scene, an officer went over to help Chudasama, and some of the youngsters asked why he was helping the man who had just killed their friends.

The victims had all been old school friends from Harefield Academy in Uxbridge, west London.

Chudasama, of Hayes, faces up to 14 years in prison.

He hung his head as he entered guilty pleas in the London courtroom packed with the victims’ families. He will be sentenced on March 9.
