WHAT’S HOT TO WATCH TODAY

- MIKE WARD

TELL me, how old is your brain? If your answer is: “It’s the same age as the rest of me, Mike, you cretin,” then take a look at a new thing on ITV tonight, 100 YEARS YOUNGER IN 21 DAYS (9pm) – because it turns out it’s not that simple.

A bunch of veteran celebs (the youngest being 45-year-old Sid Owen, formerly Thicky Ricky from EastEnders) are packed off to a Sardinian clinic for a special rejuvenation experiment, a process which starts with each undergoing medical tests to measure the current “real” age of their body, face and, yep, brain.

Needless to say, few are judged to have worn well. Sid, for instance, discovers he has the brain of a 67-year old. This is extra alarming when his 90-year-old exEastenders colleague June Brown, who plays Dot, is then told her own brain is that of a 59-year-old – one of the few results that shows any of this lot in a good light.

The others taking part are Russell Grant, Claire King, Sherrie Hewson, Roy Walker, Shaun Ryder and Gogglebox’s Sandra Martin.

Sandra, 55, turns out to be a walking advert for the benefits of endless telly-watching and fast food.

“Your face age is 60,” she’s told, “your body age is 69 – and your brain age is 86.” FANCY a stay at the Brando Resort, a five-star hotel in French Polynesia, founded by movie legend Marlon Brando? Me too. It’s the starting point for the new series of AMAZING HOTELS: LIFE BEYOND THE

LOBBY (9pm, BBC2). But we may need to raid our piggy banks – or a real one – because one night at this place could set us back £11,000.
