The drop back in trip should not inconvenience AWESOME ALLAN who only found one too good over six furlongs here last time. He has plenty of early pace if he wishes to use it and is well treated – has won off a mark 12lb higher. Ask The Guru is up 4lb after making all to score at Wolverhampton and is well drawn to do the same today. He also has winning form over this track and trip and has been running consistently of late. Mossgo boasts six course and distance victories and won this race 12 months ago off a 6lb higher mark. He has been out of sorts but has every chance if back to something like his best. With just five runners this race could turn into a tactical affair which would suit ABE LINCOLN Both his victories have come over seven furlongs and the step up to this trip could stretch his stamina. On breeding he may struggle but a slowly-run race might just play into his hands and he can follow up his Wolverhampton success. Should he falter then Emenem can take advantage. He has no stamina worries and has racked up two course and distance wins, the latest in December. Man Of Harlech has also won over track and trip and is 8lb lower than when recording that victory. He has failed to sparkle since moving to a new trainer but is very well handicapped. The feature race on the card has only attracted five runners and ZEST makes plenty of appeal. She finished a one-and-a-halflength third to Stellar Surprise and Carolinae at Wolverhampton last month but that was in a handicap and she now has a healthy advantage at the weights with those two rivals. The selection’s only all-weather success came over track and trip and she also ran a cracker when second to the useful Muffri’Ha in a Listed event over course and distance. Carolinae may pose the main threat after her subsequent second at Chelmsford and victory at Kempton.
