LUNCHING ABOVE HIS WEIGHT...

Life’s a cakewalk for Naz

PRINCE Naseem Hamed appears to have gone from featherweight to heavyweight as he enjoys life outside the ring.

The former world champ is barely recognisable with his bulked-out frame.

Naseem was known for his speed and athletic prowess during his decade-long boxing prime.

But the 44-year-old doesn’t seem to be weighed down by piling on the pounds.

The former boxer, who is just 5ft 4in tall, smiled and joked as he posed for selfies with fans outside a cafe in Surrey, yesterday.

Sheffield-raised Hamed became Britain’s youngest world champion at 21 when he beat Steven Robinson in 1995. The ring legend went on to win all but one of his 37 bouts before retiring in 2002. But since quitting aged 28, he has struggled to keep the pounds off. Just last year, customers at a London bakery accused him of holding up the queue as he chose an assortment of cupcakes. His latest weight gain comes 12 years after Hamed was jailed and given a four-year driving ban following a high-speed car crash. The 90mph smash left another motorist seriously injured. The star spent 16 weeks in prison in 2006 but left looking noticeably bigger.
