KODALINE’S new sound has landed them a potential collab with king of pop Ed Sheeran.

our sound, challenge ourselves. There has been talk of an Ed song for quite a while now, we’ll never say never as we have met Ed a few times, our bass player proposed on stage at his show. “We’re now open to the idea of working with other people and he is an amazing guy, he’s so prolific.” Steve reckons their forthcoming LP will be their best yet, despite already having two top five albums. He said: “I think the song quality is stronger, we’ve learnt a lot and been working with other people. “In my eyes it will be our strongest album.” The same goes for new single Follow Your Fire, out now. Steve gushed: “I’m so proud of it, I believe it’s our best work yet.”

Singer Steve Garrigan has teased an Ed track could feature on their forthcoming album after they teamed up with his producer Steve Mac.

He told me: “The new album that’s coming out in the summer is different, we said we didn’t want to do something we’ve done before, we wanted to go into a new world.

“We worked with Steve Mac who done Ed’s Shape Of You and Pink’s What About Us. We wanted to deliberately change POP KING: Ed Sheeran NOT your typical Essex lad, Joseph’s path to musical success started when he would go from pubs to clubs covering classics by old-time favourites Frank Sinatra and Johnny Cash.

Having quickly built up a huge following in Germany with “dark and soulful” single Gospel Truth the UK soon clocked on and fell in love with his honest and raw hit Crawl.

Joseph told me: “It was really influenced by blues and prison songs and we just wanted to up it, make it the best.

“Crawl was the birth to the catchier side of my music. I’ve always been into singers who can delve into the world of catchy pop music and keep to their blues soul roots.

“My music is all about expression – and to do that you have to be honest.”

New single Speaking in Tongues is out now.
