A MUM who has blown £25,000 on plastic surgery to become Britain’s oldest Barbie still can’t find her Ken.

Rachel Evans has spent 17 years transforming her looks in a bid to become just like the plastic doll.

But despite her best efforts, the 47-year-old is still single.

Rachel said: “During my transition into Barbie, I realised that I had to love myself before I would be able to love anyone.

“So now that I have finally become confident in myself I’ve realised it’s time for me to find Ken, to complete my Barbie journey.

“I’ve had my heart broken by people I’ve thought were Ken before – but the fact I’m not with them now shows they’re not the one.

“Despite all of the glamour, I get lonely, and that’s part of the reason I want my dream Ken.”

When Rachel was growing up, she reveals that she had identity issues.

She said: “I struggled with my gender when I was younger. I dressed like a boy for most of my twenties and I really struggled to see myself as a girl. I didn’t know how I wanted to look and I didn’t feel comfortable in my own skin which made me suicidal.

“But after hearing Barbie’s ‘You Can Do Anything!’ slogan, I realised that I could be whoever I wanted to be.

“Once I had my son, Rees, 17, I decided that it was time to leave the sad looks behind and focus on reinventing myself.”

Since then she has spent £10,000 on Botox, £3,500 on cheek fillers, £3,500 on lip fillers, £3,000 on removing under-eye bags and £3,000 on nose work.

But Rachel, from south-east London, added: “I will never stop topping up my face. I see myself as a work in progress.”
