FEEL THE FOUR-CE

The No.1pullout that scores EVERY time

-

STEFAN JOHANSEN and Tom Cairney scored in the space of four minutes as Fulham swept Norwich aside.

The Londoners stayed hot on the heels of second-placed Cardiff as they extended their club record unbeaten run to 17 games.

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic said: “We are just trying to win games. It’s not in our hands and we need Cardiff to make mistakes.

“It will be a big challenge with Cardiff ahead by seven points.

“But we have nothing to lose and if Cardiff do help us, we will be ready. We are certainly not just preparing for the play-offs.” Fulham only started firing when benched £40m Manchester United target Ryan Sessegnon came on after half-time.

And Jokanovic admitted: “It’s never easy after the international week and we looked a little tired.

“But we started taking more risks in the second half and we showed much more confidence and desire.”

Midfielder Johansen started the sizzling goalscoring spell with a clinical close-range finish after 66 minutes. Canaries keeper Angus Gunn could only parry on-loan Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic’s header and the Norwegian slotted home the loose ball. Skipper Cairney then started and finished a flowing move in the 70th minute, clipping home winger Lucas Piazon’s low cross.

The win stretched Norwich’s nightmare run against bogey side Fulham to just one win in their last 22 meetings.

But Canaries coach Daniel Farke said: “I thought we probably had the better chances but unfortunately we didn’t take them. Fulham maybe had three chances in the game and scored twice. Congratulations to them. They are the best side in the league.”
