We’ll miss our Dale!

-

DALE Winton will be remembered as a man for all people – with a tan for all seasons.

The tributes that flooded in for the telly legend yesterday show he was held in the highest regard by his showbiz pals and the public.

His unexplained death at 62 leaves a huge gap in the world of light entertainment.

It’s clear Dale had some struggles in recent years.

But we will remember him lighting up our screens as host of family shows such as the National Lottery’s In It To Win It and Pets Win Prizes.

And, of course, there was the incomparable Supermarket Sweep.

His cheery and flamboyant persona will be much missed. Big Fear: Paper Touching anything made of paper leaves the 31-year-old actress shaking. She says: “I can’t stand it. Scripts, newspaper or anything that’s not laminated, I can’t touch it with my hands!” Big Fear: Antiques The Monster’s Ball star says: “They creep me out.” And the 62-year-old adds: “I’ve had friends tell me that maybe I was beaten to death with an antique chair in a former life.” Big Fear: Frogs Amphibians leave the former England skipper feeling queasy. Revealing his phobia on a BBC documentary, where he explored the Amazon rainforest, he said: “I’m not a big frog fan. I can’t lie.” Big Fear: Seagulls It began after the singer, now 29, was attacked by one of the birds while eating an ice cream as a child. She says: “I thought it was going to take me away with it. I’ve got a phobia of seagulls now.’
