Fake hair & lashes for Lilly, 4

A MUM has spent £3,000 on sparkly dresses, false eyelashes and wigs to make her four-year-old daughter a beauty queen. Laura Chungh has been entering little Lilly-Mae in pageants since the youngster was two. The stay-at-home mum has also bought crop tops, pink lipstick and fake hair. She claims her daughter loves the limelight and “oozes confidence” on stage. Lilly-Mae has already won more than 50 trophies, tiaras and sashes. Laura denies the shows sexualise young children and says she has never dressed her daughter in anything inappropriate. She said: “Lilly loves being glammed up in false eyelashes and glittery outfits and so long as she’s happy, then so am I. Lilly-Mae has always been a confident little girl and I knew she’d absolutely love to have a go.

“So two days after her second birthday, I took her to her first show.

“She was dressed in a gorgeous frilly white dress and a hairpiece – she looked amazing.

“From that moment on, we were both completely hooked.”

All of Lilly-Mae’s family are supportive of her hobby, including her dad Lovepreet Singh, 29, who manages a sandwich shop near the family home in Walsall, West Mids.

Laura, 23, added: “People never have anything bad to say about dance shows when little girls wear make-up and similar costumes, so why would anyone have a problem with pageants?

“I’ve never put fake tan on her or caked her in make-up. She is naturally pretty so doesn’t need it.”
