LOVERS enjoy the best sex in Britain in Jeremy Clarkson’s home town.

Doncaster came top in a nationwide survey to find the UK’s No1 hotspot for making love.

The former South Yorkshire mining town – the birthplace of the The Grand Tour presenter and new Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host – boasts the most satisfied partners in the country.

The 306,000 locals scored highest for levels of sexual happiness in the survey.

One in five marked themselves 10/10 for sexual fulfillment. Overall 75% of adult residents reported their sex life was good.

Wigan came second in the poll by online sex toy retailer Lovehoney. About 73% of folk in the Lancashire town said they had fulfilling sex lives.

Ipswich came third with a score of 72%.

Regionally people living in the north east have most fun in bed while those on the south coast seem to fall a long way short.

Lovehoney co-owner Richard Longhurst said: “Congratulations to the people from Doncaster who have the best sex in the UK.

“Now we know why Donny’s most famous son Jeremy Clarkson always looks so pleased with himself.

“All our research shows that couples with good sex lives also have high levels of personal happiness.’’
