Sam: I’d be an 11 out of 10

- By CHRIS McKENNA

SAM ALLARDYCE says he would mark himself 11 out of 10 as he blasted his own club for asking fans to rate his performance.

The Everton manager also called for major shareholder Farhad Moshiri to give public assurances over his future.

Allardyce was upset that fans were asked in a club survey to rate him on a scale of 0-10.

Asked if he’d had an apology, Allardyce said: “Off the chairman, yes.”

And after being asked to rate himself he jokingly said: “P*** off. 11!”

He added: “Our department has not been asked what we think of the survey, even though it has been passed out before.

“From my point of view and the football point of view, it was a big mistake.

“Our director of marketing does not have a great understanding of football and how it works because he’s into marketing.

“It hasn’t made any difference for me concerning my position.

“It’s not healthy for me. It just adds more pressure. I have to accept I have to have skin like a rhino.”

Allardyce is widely expected to leave in the summer, despite only being appointed at the end of November.

Asked if he wanted Moshiri to publicly reveal his plans, Allardyce said: “I’m not going to tell you what I would do but I would agree with what you say, yes.”
