Harry’s chosen bro for big day

PRINCE William will organise the stag do of the year after Harry finally asked him to be his best man.

The party prince will marry Meghan Markle next month.

And new dad Wills has just three weeks to organise a bachelor bash.

Royal watchers believe Las Vegas is off the cards after the prince landed in hot water there during a game of strip pool. The Scottish Highlands, Wales and Switzerland are now all hot favourites with punters.

Bookmakers William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams said: “Prince William has been confirmed as the best man. We think that has increased the chances of a trip to Scotland, which is now 5-2 from 8-1, although Switzerland is the favourite at 6-4.”

Las Vegas is a 100-1 shot with Ladbrokes.

The Scottish Highlands are favourite at 5-1, while a private hideaway in Wales is 8-1.

Jessica Bridge, of Ladbrokes, said: “Prince Harry’s days in Las Vegas are over.

“Despite it being his last night of freedom, it looks safe to say he’ll be keeping the bash low key in the UK.”

Harry served as Wills’ best man during his brother’s wedding to Princess Kate in 2011.

A Kensington Palace spokesman said: “The Duke of Cambridge is honoured to have been asked.”

And William said last night he was “really delighted” to be chosen by his brother but joked “revenge is sweet” in an apparent hint at stag party antics ahead. He spoke during a surprise appearance at an event scheduled for just Harry where they highlighted the work of a sports centre in Marylebone, central London, supporting local children.

Meanwhile, the number of streets due to close for royal wedding parties on May 19 has plummeted by 91% in some areas compared to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s 2011 marriage.

In Kent, just 16 roads are set to close, compared to the 182 that shut for Wills’ nuptials.
