TV chef Gino’s OAPs battle

-

CELEBRITY chef Gino D’Acampo faces legal action after sealing off a vital path pensioners use to go to the doctors.

The Italian closed the cut-through beside his £1.25million home this year – but changed his mind after a backlash.

However, the daytime TV favourite is still flouting council regulations by blocking the path with a locked gate.

Locals must now walk four times as far to reach the surgery in Hoddesdon, Herts.

A spokesman for Broxbourne Council said: “The resident is aware of the requirements and failure to comply is likely to result in legal action.”

The star, 41, claims he is being harassed by people using the path – with his wife Jessie saying fans besiege their home.

She wrote a letter to officials claiming: “A couple of times I have had people in my garden taking pictures and there are frequent knocks on the door with people asking for pictures of Gino or signed books.

“It’s just not fair on us as a young family and is actually quite scary.” BURIAL remains of a woman and child found by Hadrian's Wall show the Roman military fortification in Britain was also a centre for family life, say experts.

A BUSINESSMAN proudly shows off his ultimate “mid-life crisis” purchase – a Tornado fighter jet.

Car fanatic Stephen White, 53, already owns an Aston Martin and two Ferraris. But he has to keep the Tornado at Swansea Airport because it’s too big for his drive.

Stephen, of neaby Cilfrew, said: “My wife Patsy and I were looking to add to our collection of cars but I saw the plane and wanted it. It’s more fun than stamp collecting!”

He declined to say how much he paid for the jet which last saw action in Bosnia in the 1990s.
