CARLOS HAS NO FEAR OF DROP

CARLOS CARVALHAL has no fear over Swansea’s ability to home in on survival.

The Welsh club’s top-flight status is on the line after dropping back into the relegation zone ahead of tomorrow’s do-or-die clash against Southampto­n.

Ryan Fraser’s deflected first-half goal means Saints’ visit to the Liberty Stadium effectivel­y becomes a relegation play-off.

Carvalhal said: “After a game that we lose, everyone is sad of course. But tomorrow is another day.

“We will react and Tuesday, we must be at the top. This is the main point. And they know about that. They know they must react very fast.

Dominated

“Since we arrive, all the games we play at home, we perform really well. All of them.

“Possibly the cup game against Tottenham was the game that was hard for us. All the others we dominated and were better than our opponents.

“Even Chelsea, if you saw the game, you can see we dominated the game and we could achieve much more.

“I don’t have any reason to doubt we can do it on Tuesday. My players will give the maximum, the fans will give the maximum.”

Swansea were toothless throughout and never looked like getting back into the game after Fraser struck from a well-worked 37th-minute free-kick.
