TRIBUTES: Bourdain TOP chefs paid tribute to TV star and fellow cook Anthony Bourdain after he was found dead at 61.

Gordon Ramsay, Nigella Lawson and Jamie Oliver spoke out last night after the former hard-living chef turned TV host and author died in a French hotel room.

The American’s death was announced by his employers CNN, who said the star had taken his own life.

Oliver wrote on social media: “I have to say I’m in total shock.

“He really broke the mould, pushed the culinary conversation and was the most brilliant writer ... he leaves chefs and fans around the world with a massive foodie hole that simply can’t be replaced ... rest in peace chef.”

Lawson wrote on Twitter: “Heartbroken to hear about Tony Bourdain’s death. Unbearable for his family and girlfriend.”

Meanwhile, Ramsay said he was “stunned and saddened.

“He brought the world into our homes and inspired so many people to explore cultures and cities through their food.

“Remember that help is a phone call away.”
