LOVE Island babe Kendall Rae-Knight told of her double heartache last night after being dumped by Adam Collard – just months after being ditched by her fiancé.
Speaking after being booted off the show, the brunette beauty, 26, said: “I’m gutted to be out first. And I’m gutted by what Adam did.”
The former beauty queen had hoped to find Mr Right on the ITV2 show.
Last year she was left heartbroken when boyfriend of five years Michael Clarke ended their engagement and gave her the elbow.
Retail manager Kendall, from Blackpool, plucked up the courage to go on Love Island to look for someone new.
She paired up with funny guy Niall Aslam on day one then 24 hours later got “stolen” by Geordie hunk Adam. But their romance hit the skids.
She hoped to take things slowly but he wanted to hurry things up. And after branding her “insecure and distant”, the love rat ditched her and ran off to snog new girl Rosie Williams.
Last night, in the tense recoupling stunt, TV viewers saw him choose to couple up with the Welsh solicitor – leaving Kendall without a partner, which meant she was booted out.
She admitted: “The show was harder than I imagined. So intense or emotional. I loved being with Niall as he made me laugh but when Adam chose to couple up with me, I was shocked. I didn’t expect it. But the trouble was I wanted to take things slow because of what happened to me last year. I’d just come out of a relationship. Adam wanted to rush things. He wanted to step up the pace – all guns blazing.” Asked how she felt when he branded her “insecure and distant”, she said: “It is not nice when someone says that about you.
“Maybe I wasn’t confident like some of the other girls but I wanted to go slow and wasn’t going to change who I am just for him.”
Kendall admitted Adam’s snog with Rosie hurt her. She said: “I didn’t see the kiss but Laura told me what he did. I was gutted that he did it so soon after we broke up.” But Kendall revealed that Adam is not Mr Perfect despite his abs and chiseled looks. She said: “He is the villa’s biggest snorer and keeps everyone awake at night.” Kendall predicted love will blossom between Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham. She tipped them to win, saying: “They’re the real deal. They are so lovely and into one another.” Summing up her time on Love Island, she said: “It was overwhelming. I am gutted to be out first but I don’t regret anything I did.”
