Tank trick backfires

-

HOW about this for a load of hot air!

British Army chiefs have formed a cunning plan to boost its dwindling strength – inflatable tanks to trick our enemies.

It sounds like it could be sketch straight out of Monty Python.

But this is no laughing matter. It lays bare the shocking lack of resources available to our brave troops.

The Army’s strength currently stands at 77,000 regular troops – the smallest it has been since Napoleonic times more than 200 years ago.

Force bigwigs reckon we can pull the wool over the eyes of our rivals by increasing the “deception capability”.

That’s from an official study held in Germany this month.

Do you know what else would help our boys and girls on the battlefield?

The right equipment to do the job.
