Boris & a Brexit F-word bust-up
BORIS Johnson sparked outrage by dismissing Brexit job fears with a four-letter outburst.
He was asked about the threat posed by Brexit to the economy and is said to have replied: “F*** business.”
The Foreign Secretary reportedly dropped the clanger at a reception to mark the Queen’s birthday.
He also said he did not want a “bog-roll Brexit” that was “soft, yielding and indefinitely long”.
Remainers said Mr Johnson’s comments were “insulting” and “demeaning”, but his supporters said it was “typical Boris political knockabout”.
A source close to Mr Johnson said he had “no recollection” of making the remarks.
The source added: “No-one has done more to back hard-working British businesses than Boris.”
