Court: We’ll go for it

-

THIBAUT COURTOIS says Belgium will not throw Group G – because their pride is at stake against England.

Whoever tops the group now looks set to stay on the tougher side of the draw, with the runners-up taking a potentially easier route to the final.

And Belgium boss Roberto Martinez has already raised some eyebrows by suggesting he will rest Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku against England on Thursday.

But Chelsea goalkeeper Courtois said: “Is there pride at stake? For me there is. I don’t want to go back to England in

from PAUL BROWN in Moscow July with a losing feeling. I want to win. I think everyone feels that way.

“Obviously, we’ve qualified. Maybe England will rest some players. We have some guys with a yellow card who we don’t want to be missing for the last 16.

“People say it will depend on who we play in the next round. I don’t think it matters if you finish second or first. All the teams we could get in the next round are tough.

“But if you want to have that winning feeling, it’s best to keep on winning.”
