A DANCE WEEK
YOU’VE got to admire the front of new Barnsley boss Daniel Stendel.
Stendel, who was born in Frankfurt, had the audacity to go into the town centre wearing a replica German shirt on Saturday to watch his country’s last-gasp World Cup win over Sweden.
He was spotted laughing and joking with locals in The Garrison sports bar, oblivious to the fact that wearing such clothing in a working-class English town would have made him about as popular as Margaret Thatcher during the miners’ strike.
Let’s hope he makes a winning start to the season or his wardrobe decisions might well come back to haunt him.
