I RECENTLY met a really nice bloke. He is posh and took me to some great places.

We visited some top restaurants and fancy cocktail bars, which I’d never be able to afford myself.

He even talked about taking me on holiday to the West Indies this summer, where his brother has a place.

But when we went to bed for the first time and he saw me in the nude he recoiled in horror.

The thing is that I don’t have any tattoos whereas he is covered in them.

He couldn’t believe I don’t have a single inking and said I’d done his head in.

We didn’t have sex and he drove me home. Now he is avoiding me and I feel as though I’ve been dumped. What can I do when I’m terrified of needles? JANE SAYS: It’s sad that your date ended the way it did, but your body is your business.

If you’re not interested in being inked and don’t like needles, then you don’t have to apologise or explain that to anyone.

Your date likes tattoos – good for him – but that doesn’t mean you have to be picked on and criticised for being your own person.

Accept that he was not the guy for you. Yes, of course the fancy restaurants and bars were nice, and the prospect of a trip to the West Indies was inviting, but not all plans work out and you will go on to fight another day.

What is important is that you stay true to yourself.
