Salmon invasion warning

ANGLING legend Zyg Gregorek has banked his first 20lb carp of the season from his own Anglers Paradise holiday complex, in Devon. Zyg caught the mirror from the Main Lake during the 5C’s Syndicate Match.

THE first non-native pink salmon of the year have been reported in the River Tyne. The North American species is believed to be invading the UK after they escaped from fish farms in Russia.

Scientists also claim to have underwater footage of the fish attempting to spawn after running up the River Ness in Scotland.
