Threats of rape in vile letters
A POISON pen writer has been jailed over a reign of terror in which he said he would rape women.
Paul Hicks even threatened to keep one neighbour as his “rape doll”.
Then he danced naked apart from a pair of socks outside her door one night.
The 32-year-old nut told her after she turned him down for a date, saying: “Let us do this, otherwise I’ll rape you.”
He also wrote: “If you don’t react to this letter, I will get you, rape you and keep you as my rape doll.”
The woman was so scared she had to move out of her flat in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, North Yorks.
Victoria Lamballe, prosecuting at Teesside Crown Court, said that Hicks also sent letters to two women who worked at a local supermarket.
She added: “The contents were so revolting, one of the women could not stand while reading them.”
Hicks targeted a dad, claiming he had stolen pictures of his baby girl to fuel sick fantasies.
And he sent racist notes to a black man who complained about him playing loud music.
Hicks, who admitted making malicious communications, was jailed for 20 months.
