Outcry over ‘zombie Di’ Halloween dress

PRINCE William’s mother-in-law has been slammed for selling a blood-soaked “Dianastyle” Halloween dress.
Carole Middleton, mum of Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, was branded “sicker than sick” after the gruesome outfit appeared on her Party Pieces website.
PRINCESS Kate’s mum Carole has been blasted for flogging a Halloween costume of a Diana-style princess splattered in blood.
The “sicker than sick” horror outfit is on sale on her firm’s website Party Pieces.
It has caused huge offence because of a possible gruesome link to Princess Di, who was killed in a car crash in Paris in 1997.
Last night Diana’s close friend and psychic Simone Simmons said: “This is sicker than sick. I hope people boycott this site. There are plenty of other places for better Halloween costumes.
“This is really scraping the barrel. It’s twisted and warped.”
Ingrid Seward, who is editor in chief of Majesty magazine and also a royal author, added: “This is in very poor taste.”
One royal fan added: “It’s outrageous for Carole to sell a costume like that with the word ‘princess’ in the title. What was she thinking?”
The outfit called The Zombie Sleeping Princess is on sale for £10.99.
The Party Pieces website says: “It includes a dress with chest print detail. This not so pretty princess costume features a blood-drenched pink silky dress.
“The top includes a gruesome print of the poor zombie princess’s ribcage and organs. This princess will be the scariest princess at any Halloween party.”
Carole has been accused of “cashing in” on royal connections after Kate married Prince William in 2011.
Earlier this year, the firm promoted regal crown cake decorations and confetti in time for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.
A spokesman for Party Pieces did not comment yesterday.
