‘Cheap British booze’

PLAN: Martin WETHERSPOONS owner Tim Martin has vowed to slash booze prices even further by banning EU drinks.

The pub chain is now focusing on buying drinks in Britain or from outside the EU.

Mr Martin claimed that leaving Europe would be a huge boost to customers.

He said: “We looked around the world to see what we can find from round the UK and non-EU countries.

“If companies look around the world and look around the UK, everything you buy from the EU can be replicated, equal quality or price or even better.”

But the millionaire warned prices would not be dropping further if Theresa May got her Chequers deal through.
