PHIL: BOJO WILL NEVER BECOME PM

PHILIP Hammond has launched a furious attack on Boris Johnson and vowed he will never be Prime Minister.

In a scathing interview, he accused the former foreign secretary of being unable to do “grown-up politics”.

He also claimed Mr Johnson had “no grasp of detail” when it came to complex issues such as Brexit.

Asked whether Mr Johnson would ever land the big job, he said: “I don’t expect it to happen.”

The Chancellor also lashed out at Mr Johnson’s moans about Brexit and questioned why he failed to complain earlier.

Mr Hammond said: “He never argued back. He listened to what I was saying and then just said, ‘We gotta go for it’.”
