‘Failing’ on knife plague

BLAST: Duncan Smith EX-Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith laid into the Government for “failing” to deal with knife crime.

The MP said its “three strikes and you’re out” policy had been created “solely for headlines”.

He said: “Three strikes and you are out is one of the stupidest policies we have ever come up with, for the very simple reason it is solely there for the likes of headlines.

“It has nothing to do with how you stop knife crime.”
