Top boss saved by rail hero

A FORMER top boss was saved by a fellow commuter after being pushed on to rail tracks as a Tube train was due, a court heard.

Ex-Eurotunnel chief Sir Robert Malpas, 91, was left with a fractured pelvis and blood pouring from his head.

Paul Crossley, 46, shoved him with both hands on the London Underground, jurors were told. Riyad El Hussani jumped on the tracks as the arrivals board showed a minute before the next train, pulling him clear.

Crossley, of east London, denies attempted murder. He has pleaded guilty to attempted wounding.
