Pulis so positive

- By IAN MURTAGH

TONY PULIS insists Middlesbrough’s glass is still very much half full despite just one league win in their last five games.

Boro face Ipswich at Portman Road tonight having slipped to third in the table following their 1-1 draw at struggling Hull.

Pulis has already pinpointed a lack of goals as a big threat to their promotion hopes, with just four since August 18.

But the Boro chief said: “You have got to be positive. We’re in the last 16 of the Carabao Cup and just a couple of points off top spot in the table.

“So we’ve made a fantastic start.”

Pulis, who will be without the suspended Adam Clayton tonight, added: “We have to go to Ipswich and make sure that when the chances come along, we take them.

“We need a break because we haven’t had an ounce of good luck yet.”
