Reams of errors

TIM REAM won’t use Fulham’s summer signing spree as an excuse for their defensive woes.

A new-look Fulham, who became the first promoted club to spend over £100m in the close season, have conceded 16 goals in just seven games.

Their hopes of shoring up their leaky defence have their not been helped by injuries to Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Joe Bryan.

The pair were crocked in Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Everton and join fellow new boy Alfie Mawson on the sidelines.

Fulham have the joint worst defensive record in the top flight but American centre-half Ream said: “It’s just about working hard to eradicate any errors.

“At this level it’s very easy to get punished for mistakes. Whoever is playing, we will all work hard to keep clean sheets.

“We have already shown we can score goals, so we know what we have to do.”
