£20m for brain op girl, 18
A GIRL of 18 has been awarded almost £20million in what is believed to be a record payout by the NHS.
The teenager suffered catastrophic brain injuries after being starved of oxygen as a baby at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
Yvonne Agnew, from Slater and Gordon law firm which acted for the girl, said: “We have had to fight for years to get justice for our client and get the trust to admit their failings.”
