INCE FEARS JOSE CHOP

- By CHRIS McKENNA

JOSE MOURINHO could be sacked if Manchester United lose to Newcastle tomorrow.

That’s according to former midfielder Paul Ince, who reckons time is running out for the under-fire Old Trafford boss.

United are without a win in four after a draw with Wolves, Carabao Cup exit against Derby, defeat by West Ham in the Premier League and a point against Valencia in the Champions League.

And Mourinho is in the eye of the storm after his very public falling out with star midfielder Paul Pogba.

Ince reckons a slip-up against the struggling Magpies could be the final straw. “Jose Mourinho’s time is running out,” he said. “If they don’t get a result against Newcastle he is in real danger.

“I hate the thought of

Jose being sacked, but if you are not picking up results and there is this black cloud hanging around Old Trafford, your time is running out.

“If they lose on

Saturday evening, particularly if it’s a bad loss, there will be a decision made on Jose

Mourinho’s future very quickly. The signs are not looking good for him.”

Mourinho to come PRESSURE: Mourinho through. Wales boss and former United caretaker manager Giggs, said: “I haven’t changed my view on Jose – I don’t think he should go. Where would Manchester United go?

“Change now and you will be in the same position in a year, or two years quite possibly.”

And former United skipper Roy Keane says it’s down to the players to sort the mess out.

“I don’t care what fallout you’ve had with your manager, I don’t care if you’ve been at each other’s throats, that’s part of the industry,” he said.

“But if you’re a footballer for Manchester United, and you put that jersey on, and you walk out and you don’t give 100 per cent because you might be upset with somebody – good luck to Mourinho on this stuff.

“I’m talking about players who get upset with a manager, a coaching staff, and think, ‘I’m not going to train properly because somebody upset me’.

“On your bad days you roll your sleeves up and fight.”
