The Expects Factor:

SIMON Cowell has admitted that Robbie Williams and Ayda Field have made him want to extend his family.

Last month the X Factor judging couple announced they had a third child, Coco, from a surrogate mum.

The baby news has clearly made show boss Simon broody too.

When asked if he and girlfriend Lauren Silverman would consider giving their four-year-old son Eric a baby brother or sister, he admitted: “Yes I would consider another child.

“If you’d have asked me five years ago ‘Would I have one now?’ I’d be thinking ‘I might have left it a bit late’.

“But once you’ve had one, then how could you imagine him not being here.

“So when it happens, it happens, it’s a weird thing. I can’t really think about life before Eric.”

Cowell opened up about his family plans at X Factor’s Judges’ Houses in Malibu where he and a huge band of guest stars such as Paula Abdul and Leona Lewis helped him pick the best singers in his girls category for the forthcoming live shows.

One of those special guests was little Eric. And if Eric does not want to take over his dad’s empire, then he might have a future on stage as he loves to show off.

Simon, 58, said: “We were having dinner the other night – 20 of us. There was Terri Seymour’s daughter, Robbie’s kids and Eric. And they’re doing this mad dance routine and I’m thinking: ‘You’re on the show next week!’”

When X Factor finishes before Christmas Cowell will be waiting to hear if ITV will sign a new deal with him for the show beyond 2019.

But he is confident it will continue, if not on ITV then on another channel.

He said: “X Factor has the best track record out of all of these shows for finding stars. Anyone would take it in a heartbeat because who watches it? It’s the younger audience.”

X Factor’s last Six Chair Challenge airs tomorrow on ITV at 8.35pm and the first part of Judges’ Houses is on Sunday at 8pm.
