ELEVEN people brutally gunned down in a synagogue included a 97-year-old Holocaust survivor.

Robert Bowers, 46, is said to have shouted “All Jews must die” as he launched the deadliest anti-Semitic attack in US history.

It was revealed yesterday the victims were aged between 54 and 97 and included a pair of brothers and a married couple.

The eldest victim, gran Rose Mallinger, had lived through the horrors of the Holocaust.

The group were slaughtered at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Six other people were injured in the bloodbath, including four police officers.

Bowers had previously written online about genocide and a wish to kill Jewish people. He is due to appear in court today.

Scott Brady, a US prosecutor for the area, said: “The fact that this attack took place during a worship service makes it even more heinous.”

Bowers had taken to social media just before the shooting spree to attack President Donald Trump for not doing anything to stop a Jewish “infestation” of the US. He said a Jewish refugee organisation called Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society “likes to bring invaders in that kill our people”.

He added: “I can’t sit by and watch my people get slaughtered. I’m going in.”

Those 11 murdered people were: Joyce Fienberg, 75, Richard Gottfried, 65, Rose Mallinger, 97, Jerry Rabinowitz, 66, Cecil Rosenthal, 59, David Rosenthal, 54, Bernice Simon, 84, Sylvan Simon, 86, Daniel Stein, 71, Melvin Wax, 88 and Irving Younger, 69.

Cecil and David were brothers and Bernice and Sylvan were married.

World leaders including Mr Trump, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Pope Francis, condemned the atrocity.

Pipe bombs were last week sent in the post to US politicians, including Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, and news stations.

Cesar Sayoc, 56, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was charged with sending 13 explosive devices.
