WHAT’S HOT TO WATCH TODAY

STEVE finally arrives back from honeymoon in tonight’s CORONATION STREET (7.30pm & 8.30pm, ITV). Thank God, eh? I’ve been worried sick.

As for Tracy, his actual wife, you may recall she returned on Friday, boasting about how she’d abandoned him in the desert, pinched his passport, maxed out his credit card and then merrily flown home alone.

All of which suggests that getting back together has been every bit as successful for these two as we predicted. Of course, it’s their daughter Amy – or Tracy-lite, as she’s in danger of becoming – that we should feel sorry for. Will Tracy agree they need to try to fix things if only for their kid’s sake? LOOKING a bit happier elsewhere, on the other hand, are the couples hooking up in FIRST DATES (10pm, Channel 4), back for another run.

They include Lee, 33, who’s always “the life and soul of the party”, and his date Abbi, 32, who doesn’t like going out or drinking (“I’d rather just have a cup of tea”).

Abbi arrives looking like a princess, albeit in the sense that her frock looks like something she’s found in a kid’s dressing-up box. But does she have princesslike elegance? Well, put it this way: she finished with her last bloke because “I was the gobby, laddy, farting one.” ELSEWHERE, Michelle Ryan turns up in drama documentary TRUE HORROR: THE WITCHES’ PRISON (11.05pm), telling the story of a haunted property in Essex. Michelle’s role mostly requires her to wear the face of someone trapped in a house from hell. Which can’t be that hard, given that used to play Zoe Slater in EastEnders.
