Gaga:Let’s be kin­der

LADY Gaga has spo­ken out about


men­tal health, urg­ing fans to create a “kin­der world”.

The singer opened up as she was hon­oured at the Pa­tron Of The Artists Awards, say­ing: “We are fac­ing a cri­sis of epic pro­por­tions. We are in the mid­dle of a global men­tal-health cri­sis.” She drew on her per­sonal ex­pe­ri­ence, say­ing she wished “there had been a sys­tem in place to em­power me to say no to toxic work en­vi­ron­ments and peo­ple of ques­tion­able be­hav­iour”.

The awards were held in Bev­erly Hills, just 30 miles from the mass shoot­ing at a bar in Thou­sand Oaks.


Of the hor­ror Lady Gaga said: “The neg­a­tive news and the tragedies are non-stop and over­whelm­ing.

“Let’s make kind­ness over­whelm­ing.”
