HARRY Redknapp’s football enemies are plotting a mass vote to get him to do all the Bushtucker Trials.

They are planning to hammer the phone lines and I’m A Celeb app to put him up for gruesome challenges.

Harry is the leading contender with the bookies to face tasks involving creepycrawlies, rats and snakes as well as eating hideous “food” such as kangaroo todger.

The former Spurs and West Ham boss has made plenty of friends in the game with his easy-going nature.

But the Cockney gaffer has also been seen as a controversial figure at times, especially on the south coast.

Southampton fans have never forgiven the 71-year-old for leaving them for fierce rivals Portsmouth in 2005 after they were relegated from the Premier League.

Yesterday, Southampton’s official account tweeted: “Careful Harry doesn’t leave you halfway through to join Strictly!”

And one supporter tweeted: “Oh wait for the Bushtucker Trials, we’ll get you to do every single one.”

Fee

Another Saints fan wrote: “We are now duty bound to repeatedly vote for him for every Bushtucker Trial. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. Who’s up for it?! @SouthamptonFC.”

Harry’s West Ham and

Spurs connections mean rival fans at Millwall and

Arsenal are also threatening to be trigger-happy with their voting fingers.

Harry claims he has never watched I’m A Celebrity and had to be told just days before entering the show he could be eating the anus and testicles of animals. “Balls? Are they chewy?” Harry replied. Last night he was the 5-2 favourite with bookies Betway to face the first trial.

He is trousering a £250,000 fee for his potential three-week stint in the Jungle.

But Harry has admitted he is useless at doing anything for himself and can’t even make a cup of tea.

He has also never camped before and recalls his only experience close to it was when he went hop-picking in Kent, aged 15.

“It was incredible when you look back,” he said. “We had a basic wooden base of a bed with straw to make the pillowcase and mattress. You had to clear out the mice and bird nests and we had no bath.

“At least (with this) you won’t have to get up at 6am to pick hops!”
