Eriksen’s Wembley warning

CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN has raised the spectre of Tottenham being stuck at Wembley for the rest of the season.

Officially, the club has said they are looking to move into their new £1bn home early in the new year after delays postponed the planned move from the start of this season.

“Critical safety issues” still have to be resolved before the authoritie­s will sign off the necessary safety certificat­e.

The FA have given Tottenham permission to use the national stadium indefinite­ly.

And there is a growing sense in the dressing room that the new White Hart Lane might not be ready until the start of the 2019-20 campaign.

“I don’t know if we are going to stay at Wembley an extra season,” said Eriksen.

“We are happy at Wembley for more than a year now and it feels like our second home.
