I’m excited by Paisley Park

-

I HEAD to Haydock today to ride PAISLEY PARK (2.25) in the Betfair Exchange Stayers’ Handicap Hurdle.

He won impressively at Aintree on his seasonal debut last month and has been trained for this race.

He felt great when I schooled him last week and Emma Lavelle’s horses are in good form.

First Assignment was impressive when winning at Cheltenham last week and will be tough to beat if he turns up in the same form, but things will be harder for him carrying a penalty. I’m very happy with Paisley Park, though, as there is plenty of improvement left in him and I wouldn’t swap him.

I rode MS PARFOIS, who I am set to ride in the Ladbrokes Trophy next Saturday, in a racecourse gallop at Newbury on Tuesday and she is in great form. Anthony Honeyball is happy with her and she has a great profile for a race like the Ladbrokes Trophy. I won on her over hurdles, so I know her quite well.

I rode JOHNBB in a bumper at Market Rasen on Thursday and he ran a great race to finish second on his racecourse debut. It rode like a good bumper and I think it could be a race to keep an eye on. There were plenty of horses in there that could be useful, and the winner looks very smart. ¬ÊAidan is sponsored by Racing UK, the leading horseracing channel, which shows live HD coverage from 37 of the best UK tracks.
