Look...it's me!

THEY may be famous, but some stars are left red-faced when they fail to get recognised. Yesterday we reported that while X Factor judge and singer Robbie Williams is a household name in the UK, he hates the fact that in America: “Nobody knows who I am.”

-

JAMES CORDEN: The British star, who hosts The Late Late Show in the US, admitted he sometimes doesn’t even get recognised at the studios where it’s filmed. He recalled: “I couldn’t get into the building the other day because I didn’t have my pass!”

MILEY CYRUS: The Wrecking Ball singer was shocked when a burger joint staff member asked her name for the food order. She reportedly snapped: “Are you serious? You don’t recognise me? I’m Miley Cyrus.” The cashier simply shrugged: “That’s nice for you.”

ADELE: Despite being worth £125million, the singer’s driving instructor Noel Gaughan initially failed to recognise the star even when she started singing hits at the wheel. He said: “She would sing some beautiful songs and say, ‘You must know this one’, but I don’t know many celebrities.”

HARRISON FORD: He may be a Star Wars legend, but that didn’t stop bouncers barring the actor from the Punchbowl pub in London’s Mayfair when he tried to call in for a drink in 2014. The Indiana Jones star shuffled off looking “annoyed”.

FOOTIE FLOPS: In 2016 Leicester City stars Danny Drinkwater, Andy King, Matty James and Ben Hamer

failed to convince staff at a trendy London nightclub who they were – and had to watch Spurs stars Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier waltz past them. JAY Z & BEYONCE: They are possibly the biggest celebrity couple on the planet but still left one tourist stumped when they were given a private tour of the Louvre in Paris. He asked who they were, only for the rattled rapper to reply: “Who are you?”

GORDON RAMSAY: Having just appeared on local TV didn’t help the celebrity chef get recognised at the posh Hemisphere nightclub in Cape Town, South Africa. Staff sent the star, dressed in T-shirt, jeans and trainers, packing for looking too scruffy.

REESE WITHERSPOON:

When her husband was pulled over by cops on suspicion of drink-driving in 2013, the Oscar-winning actress demanded of a cop: “Do you know my name? You’re about to find out who I am!” PRINCE HARRY: I’m A Celebrity’s Harry Redknapp blanked the royal while waiting for a physiotherapy session. The ex-football boss recalled: “Suddenly one of the guys says ‘Hi Harry’, I look up and go ‘all right mate’ and carried on reading the paper. I thought I know him from somewhere that geezer, did he used to play for me?” PRINCE WILLIAM: In 2006 the Prince was turned away from a club-class lounge on a crossChannel ferry when he and his party tried to get in without tickets. The stewardess hadn’t clocked the future king.
