JORDAN HENDERSON insists that Liverpool don’t care what Manchester City do.

The second-placed team kept the pressure on the Premier League leaders as they came from behind to beat Burnley on Wednesday night.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are enjoying their best start to a top-flight campaign in their history after 15 games.

Liverpool are unbeaten having won 12 and drawn three, but still trail City by two points.

Henderson says they are not losing any sleep over City’s unstoppable form though.

The Reds skipper said: “We are not really interested in City, to be honest, because there is a long way to go.

“We know how good they are, we expect them to win.

“We just expect ourselves to win games and perform to the level that we have been – and if we do that we can keep winning.

“But we just focus on game by game and it doesn’t really matter about anybody else. The games are coming thick and fast, a lot of games in a short space of time.

“But we showed we can use the squad and still perform to the level we know we are capable of and win games – and that’s a big plus for us.”

Liverpool’s fightback to win 3-1 against Burnley was inspired by James Milner and Naby Keita in midfield.

Keita is starting to settle into life in England.

The £52.7m summer signing came close to his first goal for the club with a long-range effort in the second half that was pushed away by Clarets keeper Joe Hart.

The Guinea international has shaken off an early-season thigh injury and Henderson added: “He started the season brilliantly and obviously then getting an injury set him back a little bit. But you can see how good a player he is.”
