‘Pog ’n Rom deserve axe’

- By JEREMY CROSS

PAUL INCE has launched a renewed attack on Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku by insisting Manchester United should dump them.

Pogba (below) and Lukaku cost United close to £200m between them but the under-performing pair were axed from Jose Mourinho’s line-up for Wednesday’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal.

Ex-United star Ince, who is no stranger to putting the boot into his old club, claims £89m record signing Pogba is “bang average” and he cannot see the point of striker Lukaku.

He said: “Mourinho did the right thing in dropping Pogba and Lukaku. No-one is too big a name to be dropped at United.

“They don’t seem remotely interested and they’re just not good enough.

“Lukaku isn’t scoring at the moment and when he isn’t scoring, what is he good for? Nothing.

“If you aren’t scoring as a striker, you should be dropped. When it comes to Pogba, it’s just another drama in his life.

“He was atrocious against Southampton and didn’t deserve to be picked against Arsenal. “Pogba’s supposed to be world-class but he looks bang average.

“If he thinks his place is to come on the pitch and do those stupid flicks and tricks which lose the ball then he’s an idiot.”

The flops could remain on the bench again when United host rockbottom Fulham tomorrow. Ince, speaking exclusively to Paddy Power News, added: “United are in eighth place, it’s disgraceful.”
