- Alex.brown@dailystar.co.uk

NIGEL Farage is set to launch a new pro-Leave party, claiming fighting for Brexit is his “destiny”.

The former Ukip leader says he will stand in European Union elections if Brexit is delayed.

Farage added: “I am not going to lie down and watch it go down the plug hole, I couldn’t do that.

“If there are European Parliament elections

I am standing and I am thinking about vehicles do to that. I will be looking to get some highprofile figures.” and had everything in place to “take the country forward”.

Shadow Cabinet minister Jon Trickett said: “We are ready to form a minority government should that be necessary and it could happen on Wednesday morning.

“I think time really is running out for her and if you can tell me whether she’ll still be Prime Minister by Tuesday evening then I can say what exactly we’ll do next, so there are a number of scenarios.”

More than 100 Tory MPs are set to reject Mrs May’s Brexit deal.

The PM is being urged to delay the vote and demand a better deal as she heads to Brussels on Thursday.

She has been told by allies that she needs a Margaret Thatcher-style “handbag moment” to save herself.

Three ex-ministers have refused to rule out a Tory leadership challenge.
