Assault ‘mistake’
A DRUNKEN charity shop worker attacked a stranger after mistaking him for a bully from 30 years earlier.
John Fackrell, 48, left Michael Branch unconscious in the road with severe facial injuries and a brain bleed.
His ex-wife told police he thought Mr Branch had bullied him at school, Exeter Crown Court heard.
Fackrell, of Bideford, Devon, admitted causing grievous bodily harm and was jailed for 16 months, suspended for two years.
