DELE ALLI hopes his 50th goal for Tottenham will spark a week to remember.

Alli and his team-mates have a Champions League dream date with Lionel Messi in the Nou Camp tomorrow with Spurs now safely back in the Premier League title race.

The England midfielder says he’s desperate for more goals but is ignoring any talk of a title assault.

But with Spurs just six points off leaders Liverpool and with only one top six opponent in their next 11 matches, surely it’s time to dream again?

“I’m not sure,” he said.

“We’re not really thinking about that to be honest. We’re just focusing on the next game. We don’t want to get dragged into title race talk because then we can focus too much on performances and get carried away with it.”

Floored

Alli effectively put this game beyond Leicester’s reach with a 59th minute diving header to make it 2-0 after Son had picked him out.

He cashed in at the far post after the outstanding Son had floored Leicester with a magnificent curling shot on the stroke of half-time.

Alli said: “Obviously I’m delighted to get 50 but I can’t stop now.

“I’ve got to keep going and get some more in the league.

“I want to get many more and I don’t want to be recognised just for scoring goals, I want to help the team in many other ways as well.”

Spurs still have a chance of making the Champions League knockout stages but it will tale a huge shock to do it.

“They are one of the best teams in the world, they’ve got some great players and as a kid you dream about playing at the Nou Camp,” said Alli.

“For me Messi he is the best player in the world, he is a fantastic player and he’s a joy to watch. He is a player that everyone idolised because of what he’s achieved in his career.”

He added: “We’re going to go there and give it our best shot.”

Leicester hardly gave them the ideal dress rehearsal.

Tame

Without the injured Jamie Vardy, the Foxes look woefully short up front with Claude Puel likely to be keen to invest in that department come January.

Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris hardly had anything to do until the last few minutes when he was called on to make a couple of routine saves.

Considering they went into the game on a seven-match unbeaten run, it was pretty tame stuff from Puel’s men.
