Femi’s smashing car park warm-up

- By GRAHAM NICKLESS

FEMI ILESANMI stunned National League leaders Leyton Orient – just 24 hours after the Boreham Wood striker smashed a car window with his wayward shooting.

Ilesanmi found his radar to net the early winner but Boreham Wood boss Luke Garrard said: “He lost eight balls in training on Friday and smashed a geezer’s car window. I’m so thankful he used up his rubbish shots and saved one good one for the game.”

Salford failed to take advantage of Orient’s slip, losing 2-0 at Chesterfield.

The title favourites were sunk by two goals from Alex Kiwomya as the Spireites won for the first time in 20 league games to ease the pressure on Martin Allen.

Despite Kiwomya’s double, Chesterfield boss Allen hailed rookie striker Levi Amantchi,

18, for helping end their horror run.

He said: “I just had to play him as he’s different to anyone we’ve got.”

Warren Burrell kept the pressure on Orient and Salford by bagging a hat-trick in Harrogate’s 4-1 victory over Aldershot.

Managerless Wrexham won their first game in five with a

2-0 win over Eastleigh. Referee Carl Brook was left red-faced after sending off the wrong Dover player.

A late Inih Effiong double helped Dover beat Fylde 2-1 but official Brook dismissed Anthony Jeffrey instead of Josh Passley for hauling down Danny Philliskirk.
