The former Bond girl, who voices Clover, said: “I had seen the film before when I was a kid and recall being absolutely traumatised by it.

“I just remembering it being played at Easter and it not being joyful — just blood and foaming.

“That was my prevailing memory of it. Then it was great revisiting it and getting into it and reading the book as an adult and seeing all the violence.”
